Can we choose whether we want to have black and white or colour wedding photographs?

Yes, it is entirely up to you whether you want your wedding photographed in colour or in black and white. I normally recommend a combination of the two with the slight majority of photographs being in colour; this balance usually seems to work very well

 

Do you use traditional film or digital photography?

I used to photograph all my weddings on film and do all the printing by hand in my darkroom. But now that digital photography and digital cameras have become of such fantastic quality I shoot only on digital. The photographs and prints are just as beautiful and in fact often work out to be of an even higher standard due to the increased flexibility and ease of production and post-production that the digital process offers.

 

Can we have a disk with all the images on it?

Yes. This is not an option generally offered by wedding photographers, or at least not until extra prints and enlargements have been ordered. You can purchase the disk of all the images as soon as you like, whether or not you have ordered any reprints and enlargements. This option enables you to have complete control over the printing of any extra prints for yourselves and your family and friends and is generally preferable for you if you find yourselves wanting a large number of extra prints.

 

Do you take formal group photographs as well as the reportage style ones?

Of course. I will take any group shots that you wish to have taken. These can be an important part of the wedding photography. However my general advise is to keep the number down to around six or seven different groupings so as not to disrupt the flow of the wedding too much.

 

What if we want more than the two hundred prints that your provide?

Along with the two hundred 5 x 7 prints that I give you I will give you a disk with contact sheets of the photographs taken during the day. From these contact sheets you can either order any extra prints or you can purchase the disk of all the images from which you can then print as many photographs as you like.

 

Do you offer varying wedding photogrpahy packages?

Yes. The standard package is suitable for many but not all of the weddings that I photograph. If you wish to discuss your specific wedding and what you want in terms of wedding photography then please contact me.
