before the wedding Contact me as early as possible to see if I am available for the date of your wedding. I am always happy to meet up with you and discuss your wedding and any ideas about the photographs you have in mind.
Once the booking has been confirmed, and nearer the wedding, we will discuss in more detail the itinerary of the day. We will arrrange when I am to arrive and begin the photography and up untill what point you want me to stay. We will also discuss any formal group shots that you want as well as the portraits of the bride and bridegroom.

the wedding day Long before the wedding begins I will arrive at where the bride and her family or friends are getting ready. Here I will record the run up to the wedding and take relaxed and candid portraits of whomever may be involved. If there are other goings on before the wedding, for example the groom and his friends at another location, then we can arrange time for me to photograph this as well if you wish.
I will be present throughout the event, recording each aspect of the wedding as it unfolds in front of me; concentrating not only on the main happenings but also on the inevitable spontaneous occurences in between. I will always be wandering around and observing the goings on, taking candid portraits of the wedding party and their guests, documenting the event within its setting and recording the details of the day.
I usually prefer to work on my own but have sometimes found it beneficial to have an assistant or a second photographer with me; this depends on the size of the wedding and the length of the day.

black and white or colour This is entirely up to you. I normally suggest you have a collection of photographs that includes black and white and colour prints. I find that black and white photogpraphy suits the occasion of a wedding very well and can be especially pleasing for portraiture. However some photographs are obviously more appropriate in colour, for example those of the setting, of the flowers and some of the portraits as well. The proportion of colour and black and white photographs is your choice.

I have photographed weddings entirely in black and white and entirely in colour, both of these can work well depending on the environment and style of the occasion.

the prints

I include at least two hundred 5 x 7 inch prints as part of the package. These images will make up a story of the wedding and will include portraits of the bride and bridegroom as well as any group shots that you have had taken.

I will have taken many more photographs than the two hundred that I print, and I will, with the prints, hand over a cd with contact sheets of all the images. From these you can order the extra prints, reprints, and enlargements that you also wish to have printed.

Or as an alternative you can simply purchase all the images on disk from which you can then organise the printing of reprints and enlargements yourself. This may be economically preferable for you if you find yourselves wanting a very large number of extra prints. Most photogrpahers do not offer this option.

prices

The above package is priced at £850 which includes:

• Up to eight hours (flexible) of photogrpahy on the wedding day.
• At least two hundred black and white or colour 5 x 7 inch prints.

This package is appropriate for most of the weddings I photograph but there are always exceptions, so do contact me if you have any particular queries or requests.

deposit

A deposit of fifty percent is required in order to confirm the booking.

The remaining fifty percent is due when I hand over the prints several weeks after the wedding.

I will give you a cd with all the images in contact sheet form. From these and from your prints, you can order extra prints, reprints and enlargements if you choose to do so.

There is an option of purchasing all the images on a disk from which you can print as many extra prints and reprints as you like. This option can work out better for you economically if you want a large amount of reprints or extra prints.
